What to Bring in for your first appointment:


1. Picture ID and your Social Security Card for everyone that is filing.

2. Make a LIST of the Name, Address, Account Number and amount that you owe EVERYONE not just the people you want to bankrupt. Call and get the balance, the number of months remaining on loan, and the interest rate for all secured debts. If you have any co signers on notes or you are a co signer for anyone you must list them. Make sure you list check cashing loans and title loan as well.

Do not bring your bills - make a list!

3. Six months of your most recent bank statements for checking and/or savings accounts.

4. Your tax returns for the past two (2) years.

5. Your last 6 months pay stubs, INCLUDING THE LAST 2 WEEKS, or income for the previous 6 months with deductions for taxes and other payroll deductions from your current employer or past employer.

6. If you have been sued we need the county, docket number, who sued you and the name of their attorney. Are you being garnished?

7. If you have gotten divorced IN THE LAST 10 YEARS bring a copy of the DIVORCE DECREE.

8. Bring your auto insurance policy or the auto insurance declarations page.

9. If you pay child support we need the State TCSES number and the name and address of the Custodial Parent.

10. If you receive child support, the amount you are scheduled to get and the total you received in the last 6 months.

11. On a seperate sheet of paper make a list our your expenses for a month for Electricity and Gas, Water & Sewer, Telephone, cell phone, beeper, Cable TV, or Satellite, Food, Clothing, medical & dental, recreation, charity, insurance for home, life, health, auto, child care or child support.

You must get credit counseling from one of the counselers listed below. DO NOT DO YOUR CREDIT COUNSELING UNTIL AFTER YOU HAVE YOUR APPOINTMENT WITH KECHUM LAW FIRM

Once you have completed the course, please have them email the certificate to gketchum@ketchumlaw.com or fax (731-285-3796) your certificate to our office (if they cannot email) for filing with the court.
